I downloaded the Zv5 files but I'm confused what I do with the update.zip? It doesn't say what I need to do with the update.zip only that I need to move the system.img file to my SD card.
Okay thank you so muchThe update zip is for if your still on ZV4 and haven't gotten the update to ZV5....so you would put that into your sdcard boot into recovery and update that way or take the ZV4 system.img and use it to remove all hints of root then wait for the ZV5 OTA to show up (which is just that same update.zip)....
So I did the things with the ZV5 but its bootlooping? Won't go past the LG Life'sGood screen. I did all the steps it said but it wont boot up. What do I do/i fixed the wording of the unbrick guide.....so that more people don't get confused..(it made sense to me when i originally wrote it)

I didn't have either one of these ZV files installed before. I had the stock rom installed before I tried flashing this. I couldn't get the update and I thought you said that I had to install this in order to update to the latest software. What can I do?what was your OS version before you attempted this??? ZV4 or ZV5??? cause the System.img isn't for updating just unbricking

I don't know which one I had but I thought i needed them in order to get the update. So I tried and followed all the steps. Phone is bootlooping n0w and due to my previous stupidity to try and gt twrp it doesn't let me factory reset through the built in recovery. Is there a a program or something that will force reset my phone? Or can I take it to best buy and geek squad will fix it?ZV4 and ZV5 are 5.1.1 stock roms......if you're on 5.0.2 then you must refer to here http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/lg-g-stylo-boost-mobile-t3113080 where the 5.0.2 stuff is located plus an update.zip to go up too 5.1.1 ZV4...but you could still use my commands in order too flash the 5.0.2 system.img if that's what you need
