Root Boot animation question

I want to change the boot animation, since I now I have access to the /system/customize/resource folder can I just delete that boot animation file and move the new one over from the sd card? I was going to use Astro to do this. Or do I have to use this method http://www.jonamerica.com/technology/howto-root-the-htc-droid-incredible/#animation

Did moving "bootanimation.zip" to the system/customize/resource directory work for you?

I have tried, but I still have the stock animation, and as far as I can tell, my custom one is the only one in that folder. I named it correctly I think "VZW_bootanimation.zip"

Can you help?
