Root Boot animation

ok my phone does not have a bootanimation.zip it has 2".QMG" files i have a theory on how to edit them but it would be nice to be able to just use the one .zip file any ideas?

First you are in the OG droid forums not the Galaxy so you might want to check there. I know that you need to flash a kernel that supports .zip instead of the proprietary qmg. if you wish to change it but I have limited knowledge on your phone so check the other section of the forums .
