Root Boot animation

Hey guys, so changing the boot animations on droids is one of the first things i shoot for after rooting and doing a backup. Weird thing is with the sync there are 3 sep carrier specific boot animations in the system/media folder. Tried fiddling with them and now it only shows the android at boot, not even boosts animation, needless to say the custom animation of mine did not work. Is there a trick to this?

I even created the image and renamed it bootanimation_boost.zip. nothing changed

oh yeah... REMOVE KINGROOT!!!! theres a TWRP & stock roms with KR Removed. do that first or youll be screwed. I was on phone with ZTE devs and they purposely made it become unstable after Root

Ya, set perms no change. I have super rs deodexd rooted rom and his twrp

Gotcha. Wish I could be more help but I haven't been able to replace my Sync since I accidentally bricked mine while testing recoveries. Whenever I can get another I'll return to working on it.
