Root Boot animations, How to change??

I've been at this all night into the morning, I'm pretty sure we're trying to replace the bootsamsung.qmg since it's the biggest file in the system/media folder. I've tried numerous different boot zips and all I get is a black screen for a boot anime (some may prefer that to the metro anime lol). If you look there's also a bootsamsungloop.qmg file as well but I'm pretty sure that's just the samusung title loop after the metro anime, not sure what part that plays or if it's need to complete the boot animation before phone start. I do know that the indulge wouldn't change the animation until we got Basix, I'm hoping the Attain is different. If anyone can shed a lil light on they're know how or experiments with changing the boot anime for this device please post them here.

Check in the admire forum for this info... qmg is a protected type of animation proprietary to Samsung but you can find some useful info there.

getting this phone to play boot animations can be done via 2 ways, 1 from the kernel 2 by merely swapping the name of another file

Shabby - I tried swapping the name on one of the animes I wanted to be on there and all I got was a black screen. I'll try different ones and see if other ones work. I noticed that the one I was trying to replace the stock with wasn't working on Connect either.

Toke - That's where I got the idea of changing the boot anime from I still have my Admire (it's my daughters new toy lol), so I still bounce around over there from time to time. Thanks though buddy, and good lookin out sir..
