Root Boot Loader is Locked Again

I don't know if any of you have noticed or had this problem, but I tried to use the all-in-tool over at XDA, and only made it as far as submitting the Token ID, then got an error message. Turns out, everyone is getting them now. The rumor over at XDA is that HTC, under pressure, re-locked the bootloader. At least that was the case last night.

Can anyone else confirm this? I suppose if the interest is great enough, some smart person (smarter than me) will figure out how to do this without HTC's help, but after having a rooted phone for years, and now being reminded of the limitations of stock, this really bites!!

Yes, I can confirm. The HTCDev site unlocking tool stopped working on 7/16. Work is being done to root the phone with alternate methods now. I am very hopeful that they succeed soon as there are several mods that would be fantastic...

I completely agree about the limitations of stock. The Dinc4g is very nice, but it needs a some tweaks to be great.

Thanks for the info. Looking forward to getting that 3 button mod so we can get our menu button back!!

It may be heresy, and it may be just me, but my Original Inc running CM 7.2 seems a little snappier than the stock 4g. Sure the camera is better on the 4g and the internet might be a wee bit faster (although 4G service doesn't seem any better than 3g or WiFi where I live), but overall you are right on with your comments!!
