Root Boot loop after update (rooted) please help :)

So for some reason my phone decided to update tonight even though I set it to never update.

I rooted with the revolutionary method. The phone reset and is stuck on the android and ! screen. Pulling and replacing the batter will get the phone to boot as normal. However, once back in the phone. It auto restarts and is back to the Android ! screen.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to restore my phone (to rooted or factory).

I know very little about rooting since this was my first attempt. I held power and volume down to get into the boot menu. I navigated to recovery/backup and restore/restore. It then says "no file found". So I must not have any back ups.

Your help is greatly appreciated :)

Try wiping cache and dalvik cache in recovery. Dalvik cache is under advanced

Thank you for your fast response.

I found dalvik cashe and wiped it. As far as regular cashe, the only option i see is "wipe cashe partition". Is this what I am looking for?

Good. I still suggest flashing the newest OTA rom if it didn't install so your phone doesn't try to accept the update again

you may also want to use a file explorer (i use astro file manager) and delete any PG05IMG.zip file on the root of your SD card. that is the OTA, and may cause issues down the road. delete it, or move it into a folder.

Shouldn't be there, if the OP can get to recovery manually after being unable to boot they had to go thru hboot
