Root Boot-looping and I don't know what to do!

I had just installed SHIFTAO5P V2.5.1 I wiped everything as I always do and the install went perfect. But it keeps rebooting in the HTC screen, I tried installing a backup but it reboots before the install is finished. Please help!!!

 that is an issue. What is your battery at currently?

It was completely charged. and I have been having trouble with my volume down key and was planning on unrooting soon because it takes 3-4 reboots to get into recovery. I'm insured by square trade, how deep do they probe lol

So, does this mean you were able to wipe system, cache, dalvik? Are you still looping?

Well either way they are all wiped. I personally can't really help you from here. This is Scotty or Worm or Yeahha's place. If you are on twitter @jcase may be of help.

if cache/dalvik wipe doesnt stop your looping, flash the mr2 ruu and see if that fixes it. if it doesnt call vzw, tell them you walked up on your phone and found it this way,and get them to send you another.

hate to say it,but sounds like you are bricked. :(

id prolly try flashing the .exe file rather thanthe PG05IMG file,as that seemed to fix it for anotehr user. or it was a really big coincidence,we dont really know

Report back. Flashing the exe file fixed my phone. Then I sent it back just in case lol.

I'll give that a try and if it doesn't work I'll call call square trade and let them send me another phone to replace this soon to be broken one

Insurance covers user error and things not covered under warranty, so if you can't get this fixed then the insurance should cover it, given you will need to pay any deductible but it is still cheaper than buying a new phone out of contract.

Thanks guys. Is the correct radio included in this? I'm currently running the latest radio.

yup. that will make everything 100% mr2 stock. did you get it used? once you get mr2 on it,theres no reason not to let it be a mfgr warranty replacement.

this is an emmc failure not caused by anything that youve done(at least that was the most recent theory)

Got it new back in April, and yes I'm all about saving a $50 deductible by taking it back to verizon. And lol about theroy's. The exe file is still downloading so I will try to run it in the morning. Good night, and thank's for all the help, This forum is awesome!!!

Goodluck! Hope you don't have a brick!! But if you do, lets hope its the emmc chip so they can't fault you in any way shape or form! GOODLUCK!!!

It worked like a charm guys. I used root checker to verify that im no longer rooted, but i still have S-off. Do i need to get it back to S on before returning the phone, and where do I find instructions?

Revolutionary s-off? Follow the directions in the root/unroot guide at the top of the forum. Since you've run the RUU you can skip the step of flashing "no hboot" mr2.

Just follow the guide to replace the revolutionary hboot with the original 1.04.2000 Eng s-off hboot, then flash the mr2 "hboot only" file.

So am I to assume that the ruu didn't fix? Still looping?
