Ok here's the issue...went in with Root Explorer and changed the bootStrapSound.ogg...worked fine.
Tried to change the bootanimation.zip...now there's another story.
Every time I try to change it, it automatically changes back to that stupid metro logo. I change bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.old, and it changes back. I delete bootanimation.zip, it reappears. I copy mine into the folder and replace it, it changes back...what's the deal?
I've seen people asking for the original because they changed it and want to change it back, so I know it's possible.
Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?
