Root Bootloader after gfree?

In a True Permaroot method from XDA that i just did, I noticed my CID changed to 11111111, but my bootloader is still 0.85.2007 ( i had S-OFF and was permarooted prior to this ). Can I still flash the engineering bootloader? Or do I have to be using the 0.86.0000 bootloader?

So it came shipped with an engineering bootloader? That doesn't sound normal, but as long as I have it then that's awesome.

you said "i had S-OFF and was permarooted prior to this" when you did that it put the engineering bootloader on the phone it's part of the VISONary app when it roots your phone, at least it did on all 5 phones I rooted today. they all started out with 0.86.0000 and after just doing the basic S=OFF and Permaroot they were all on 0.85.2007

Oh, I see. Just a question now, with Radio off, s-off, and an engineering bootloader in place, which ones will I have to revert to upgrade to Gingerbread, if T-Mobile ever decides to release it?
