Bootloader menu crash (sorry if wrong place!)

AdElGa

Lurker
It's a Motorola Quench. Running Android 1.5 :\

I've rooted it successfully. When I go onto the bootloader menu, and press volume down for recovery mode, it just stays there. Like a crash. It doesn't actually enter recovery mode.

Other than unrooting it, is there anything you can suggest?

Thanks :)

[sorry if wrong section, but I didn't see any rooting forums]

Hi AdEIGa, and welcome to AF.

There is a forum for root discussion with the Motorola Quench: QUENCH - All Things Root - Android Forums. However nobody has posted there since September, so you might be as likely to get an answer here as there!

I'm sorry I can't help with the actual question. Did it work previously, or has it been like this since you rooted?

I've never used an Motorola android, but on the HTCs rooting tools install a custom recovery at the same time. So if you stopped being able to access recovery when you rooted, maybe its tried to do that and failed?

But as I stress, root methods differ for different phones, and I know nothing about doing this on a motorola - I'm really just speculating here.

Sorry for very late response (was away :|)

A custom recovery, you say? I can't even connect my phone to the computer to load up an existing recovery :(
