Root Bootloader question (need clarification)

I am getting ready to try my hand at flashing a ROM (USB Jig on the way). I know I will flash the GB bootloaders first to flash S7. My question then becomes, once I do this, if I decide to go back to stock with Odin will I have to reflash the Froyo Bootloaders? Will Froyo boot on GB bootloaders? If I flash the GB bootloaders can I still boot my phone prior to actually flashing the ROM?

Just need some clarification on this.

Thanks

If you want to go back to Froyo, you will need to flash Froyo bootloaders as 2.2 ROMs wont run on GB bootloaders. I believe if you flash GB bootloaders and boot up normally, you will be on barebones GB. I flashed back to stock a couple times and usually don't boot once the GB bootloaders are flashed. I flash the ROM right away.

Thanks! Exactly what I was wondering.

Yes you can. You can run GB BL's on Froyo. I think it actually improves the phone. Just when flashing, be sure both SBL & SBL2 being flash are of the same type....ex. Froyo or GB. It is the mismatching that causes the problems

sbl.bin & boot.bin are the files

Okay I see what your are saying. I may try it. I flashed Fasty 2.5 so I could avoid bootloaders all together. Thanks for the info
