I have a Moto G3 2015 that keeps showing a bootstrap failed notification. Phone works fine in spite of this. Think it's a poorly written app that causes this?

Bootstrap is a custom fallback recovery. Just want to make sure you're aware what it is. If so disregard this message.

Thanks for the reply, I had no idea what it is. it doesn't seem to affect the phones functioning.
Sorry, been a long day. Bootstrap is installed on rooted devices. It is a fallback environment in case of trouble. Curious that it is on your device without your knowledge. Did you recently buy it?

I've had the phone for several months. It's not rooted. It just started doing this lately.
Did you buy it new? I may be thinking of a different bootstrap, if there is one. I'll do some looking.
Well that didn't take me long. Sounds like your not alone. Check this thread.

I bought it new. Checking the thread now.

Unfortunately I don't have that app listed. I actually saw that thread today when I was Googling.
Did turning off the notifications help?

I don't have the app they're talking about in that thread. So no luck there.
