Root BootUnlocker to aid upgrade? Can SuperSU kick file manager ass?

I have a rooted, unlocked Nexus 10 and have just received a stock update. I apologise for my ignorance and inability to find a definitive answer via Google et al, but can anyone tell me if just re-locking via BootUnlocker will be enough to allow the upgrade to run unhindered? Afterwards could I just run BU to unlock it again?

Also, is there a way to bring my file manager (AntTek Explorer) to the attention of SuperSU to make it display root-protected folders?

Im not a nexus man mate but do you have custom recovery installed (twrp, cwm etc)?

Most upgrades fail because of either a custom recovery or a modified system.

It actually doesn't care if the bootloaders unlocked or not.
