Help Both WiFi and 4G symbols are lit up simultaneously since Lollipop update

Both my wifi and 4g symbols are now lit up simultaneously since i updated to lollipop. I'm on verizon so I'm aware of the Verizon's CALLER NAME ID app that caused it to come on in Kit Kat. That app is now disabled but both still stay on.
Anyone else having this problem?

I'd check the DOWLOAD BOOSTER option:

Download Booster On/Off - Samsung Galaxy Note® 4
[Device-Specific Instructions]

Notes:

  • Download booster allows for faster downloads of content 30 MB or larger (e.g., movies or large files) by utilizing Wi-Fi and LTE networks simultaneously.
  • In order for Download booster to work, Auto update apps over Wi-Fi only must be disabled (refer to the 'Update Apps Using Wi-Fi Only' section).

Utilizing download booster may result in additional data charges depending on your price plan.

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps (located in the lower right).

These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. From the WIRELESS AND NETWORKS section, tap More networks.
  4. Tap Download booster.
  5. Tap the Download booster switch (located in the upper right) to turn on
    switch_on.gif
    or off
    switch_off.gif
    .
  6. When prompted with Turn on Download booster, tap Turn on.
  7. With Download booster turned on, tap Do not show speed info to enable or disable.
    linote.gif
Enabled when a check mark is present.

When enabled and active, notification of download progress appears on screen

    or in the notification panel.

Looks like you're not alone (unless this is you) ;):

Note 4 Lollipop phone connecting to WiFi and 4G at same time

This question is Not Answered.

I’m having a problem with connectivity. Since I upgraded to Lollipop, my phone accesses both 4G and WiFi at the same time. Download booster is turned off and I’ve disabled every Verizon bloatware app I can find. And I’m not going to toggle mobile data on and off every time I come to and from my house. That’s not a solution. I bought the phone with Kit Kat and this never happened.

Now that I’ve upgraded to Lollipop, when I’m on WiFi at home, the icon is lit up and indicates I’m using mostly WiFi connectivity. But, at the same time, 4G up and down arrows flash intermittently while I’m using the phone. There’s nothing wrong with my WiFi connection – I checked it thoroughly.

I talked to “Michael” from Verizon last night starting at 7:01 Eastern 4/6/2015. He had me clear my phone’s cache and reset all phone settings. It still didn’t work. Michael told me he’d call me back tonight (4/7/2015). He was going to “measure” how much 4G data was pulling back and forth on my phone while I was home on 4/6 after work – while connected to WiFi. Today, on 4/7, he was supposed to call me and let me know if – and how much – 4G data my phone used while connected to WiFi the night of 4/6. I assumed we’d go from there, but I never got a response.

Please, someone, tell me why this is happening. I’m curious, but I’m also concerned about using up my data plan when I shouldn’t be at all. I know other people have the same problem because I see it in other forums. Nobody has a good answer – especially not Verizon.

Not me but this IS whats happening to me. I read that someone said it could be the second update which was for Advanced Calling 1.0 I have disabled it too, but the person said that it might be keeping the Mobile Data interface active disabled or not.
Now I'm trying to see if Advanced Calling 1.0 update can be uninstalled...no one seems to know
