Hi All, I'm a new user and I bought my first Android phone a couple of days ago. Here's my issue, and go easy on me, I'm an Android Noob.
I Bought the LG Optimus Zip (also has some other names) through StraightTalk. Its runs 2.3.4 OS and I'm trying to Root the phone as its internal storage SUCKS (less than 200MB). I found the closest thing I could find to the USB drivers for it and downloaded the LG Esteem OneClick Root .Zip. During the root process it says it can't find the file path for SU or Busybox, or another file, continues on through, says phone is rooted and enjoy. After all this GotRoot still says its not rooted. I tried installing SuperUser and then rooting and a couple different things to no avail. I heard there was an update that prevented rooting, and was wondering if anyone has any luck and what their method was. Mainly I just want to get rid of the Bloatware to free up some storage as many of the apps i've downloaded dont support transferring to SD. Had the phone a few days and my internal storage is almost full. Any help would be appreciated!!!
