Root Bought new White Evo Design...Questions??

Hey guys...

I need some help if anyone has some definitive answers.

I just got an HTC EVO Design in White from a seller on Ebay, and it is unlocked to recieve SIM cards..even in the USA, but I want to load a Jelly Bean ROM on it. If I were to do that, would it cease to be unlocked, and would the new ROM flash a CDMA radio to it, as it can use a GSM SIM card?

Thanks.

Definitive answers? No, but...
As far as I know no one has bothered to get GSM working on any jellybean ROMs for the Evo Design so far.
What we call a ROM (with the exception of official carrier packages that flash through a ROM utitity .EXE from your computer) do not flash the radio partitions on the phone.
I've never seen a white Evo Design, and am curious about the ROM and bootloader that came stock on this phone. What country did it come from?

It came from Taiwan and looks and behaves almost exactly like a Sprint Evo Design with the exception that it has some country specific bloatware. It is still running
Gingerbread.

It has...
S-On
HBOOT-1.30.000
Radio-1.11.00.0418_2

I would mess with it and see what else I could do, but I am nervous about even rooting it and unlocking the bootloader.

What do you think?

that white evo design is sexy

Thanks...it looks really slick in person. Its a nice color combo.

I have tried EVERYTHING to root this device. It comes up with "model ID incorrect" every time though.

Interestingly enough, it has the same HBOOT and RADIO as Boost, but it still won't root.

Is there anything I could push through ADB that might work you guys?
