Root Bought the droid the day it came out. Then left it, now I'm back. Having issues now with roms/root

I got it rooted using "soup or root".

I can install apps that require root like set CPU, and I know it's rooted.

Anyway I have Rom Manager and couldn't flash cloclworkmod recovery for a while, but I realized I had to disable wifi to do it. So I flashed it. BUT when ever it reboots into recovery it just shows the stock yellow triangle.

Is there something I'm missing? Also I can't download roms with it, it just throws an error right away.

I used to be very active here and was one of the first to originally root mine, I even made custom themes for myself, but I've forgotten so much. Thanks guys.

Incase anyone else is searching. I unrooted, wiped back to factory specs, then rooted with superoneclick. It worked fine. Then right after first boot, I downloaded rom manager, and flashed the clockwork mod. Now it is working fine.
