Help Bought wife Razr HD, having problems

Hi all, need some help.

I picked up a Razr HD for my wife from VZW yesterday. I took it home, charged it up and decided to call and get it activated. The phone would not power on. I had to use the volume down/power button method to get it to power on.

Once it was activated, i spent some time getting it set up for her and loading apps that she had on her old phone and wearing down the battery in the process. She plugged it in to charge, went to bed and this AM. It would not power on normally, but only with the volume down/power button combo.

what's the deal? any ideas? should i swap it for a new one?

I'd say swap it. That's definitely not normal. Never had that issue with either of my devices either, unless it's locking up. Which could be caused by an app you have.

Swap it. I got a new Maxx HD this weekend and have had ZERO problems. I love this phone!

replace it, they ship it overnight to you, and if you call before 6pm, they ship it today so it will be there ASAP!
