I don't know if I'll be the 1st in Jersey to get one but I am leaning towards getting the Moto X if the price is right. That leaked Rogers video helped me decide. Dual core is plenty fast for my phone use and the rumored 2gb ram will help. You know I would really like to be the 1st preson in Detriot with a Moto X on Metropcs. Someone has to be the 1st I want it to be me. Anyone else feel simlar about being first?

Not that I was on the fence about it any way but when my lady seen it she was impressed on top of the color options and she wants one now.
I may not agree with what you say, but will defend your right to say it.
So Verizon just announced 3 new Moto Droids that share many of the rumored features of the Moto X. The "always listening", the camera shake to wake, 720p screen with almost no bezel etc. Now as far as the processor is concerned it also matches up with the rumored 1.7 dual core, but here'swhere it gets weird. The phones all share the same SOC, a new Motorola one dubbed the X8 which has 8 total cores. The 1.7ghz dual core app processor, a 4 core 400mhz GPU, a contextual computing processor, and a language processor. So my 2 part question for those who know this stuff better than me is:
1) Given that these phones seem very Moto Xish is it likely that this X8 SOC will also be on the Moto X?
2) What the heck do these extra cores mean in real world performance? Will this SOC raise it from midtier performance?
