Help Brand new DX2, best WiFi Tether method?

Just picked up a new DX2, it's updated to 2.3.3. Been searching for WiFi tethering tips and seem to see a lot of different answers, what's the best way to make this work? I had an orig Droid, rooted it and set up WiFi tethering...which is a must since I routinely travel with a laptop and iPad.

What's the current hotness in rooting and tethering the DX2 with Android 2.3.3??

I'd like to know as well. Updated from my gingerbreak version to 2.3.3 knowing I'd lose Wi-Fi Tether, but would like it back.

best method for wifi tethering is to purchase the plan from verizon.

What VoidedSaint said is truly the best advice.
However, if you are feeling adventurous you can browse the Android Market there are alot of apps that offer tethering. I would look through the most downloaded ones and just make sure to read through the descriptions and user comments and decide if you want to take the risk of your carrier catching on and possibly charging you extra fees for it.
