Brand new S3 very buggy

So I recently picked up a brand new S3 from T-Mobile at Walmart for 300 bucks. Only thing is the phone seems really buggy. Slow. why so slow for being brand new? Could this be due to all the bloatware on it from T-Mobile?
 
Yes all that crap installed can slow it down a little.

But the latest update also can cause tons of issues if you do not perform a factory reset after it installs.
 
Yes the latest update is kitkat. The 4.4 update has gotten some complaints about battery drainage but the 4.3 was a massacre this forum blew up when it hit with plenty of complaints and problem. What os version are you on?
 
I assume it isn't blowing up as much now because a lot of people upgraded to something else when their gs3 contracts expired in July.
 
I'm on Android 4.3. I did they update and nothing happened really. It didn't go to KitKat
