Brand new to android

I just recently bought an ASUS transformer prime, have been waiting for this product for almost a year and decided to buy it.
I absolutely love it but I have no idea how to use 99% of the functions of this baby and I have rooted my tablet already, I just have a couple of questions on the functionality of this item.
I have never owned any Android product and have never used a tablet before so please help me out in the simplest of terms <3

1. Is there an Office (Spreadsheet/Powerpoint/Document) that I can download? If yes, where do I download it and how do I install it?
2. Is there an app or a website I can download apps for free like the Installus with Apple products? If yes, where do I download it and how do I install it?
3. Is a tablet like a PC/Laptop which requires anti-virus/adware protection? If yes, which do you recommend and how do I install it?
4. Is there an emulator for Gameboy/Playstation X/Playstation 2 for the tablet? If yes, where do I download it and how do I install it?

I have more questions, just can't force them out of my head right now :(

So much thank you's in advance.

There are several on the market. I use Quickoffice, its pretty full featured. Just download from the market and open in the app drawer once its finished downloading.

2. Is there an app or a website I can download apps for free like the Installus with Apple products? If yes, where do I download it and how do I install it?

Pirating apps is not discussed on this forum for obvious reasons.;)

3. Is a tablet like a PC/Laptop which requires anti-virus/adware protection? If yes, which do you recommend and how do I install it?

There are some antivirus apps on the market but the best thing to do would be just to avoid any suspicious apps. Read the reviews, check the permissions and stay away from anything titled "HOT ASIAN CHICKS"

4. Is there an emulator for Gameboy/Playstation X/Playstation 2 for the tablet? If yes, where do I download it and how do I install it?

Several on the market and other app stores out there. Just download. You will have to get your ROMs on your own .

Hope I helped some:D

The Prime comes with an office app, never used it though.

Pirating apps is illegal and not discussed here

I use Lookout downloaded from the market, but like said its best to just play it safe and read reviews and such

I use gameboid from slideme app market, just google it. I have never been a fan of playstation so can't help you there.

Also, don't download pirated apps. :D There are plenty of free apps in the Market. Get the Amazon App Store...they give away a free app each day. Some of them suck, but some of them are good.

Appbrain is good for finding market and non-market apps. There are plenty of app stores out there other than the market by google.

OK, let's see if I can give you some answers as well. First, congrats on getting the Prime. I hope you like it. There are a lot of things you can do with this tablet.

1. Is there an Office (Spreadsheet/Powerpoint/Document) that I can download? If yes, where do I download it and how do I install it?
There are several office apps in the Android Market that you can use but the Prime also already comes with Polaris Office. You may want to try that first to see if it fits your needs. If it doesn't, Documents to Go is a good office suite that can be tried for free and purchased on the Market. I actually use them both (I was able to get Docs to Go for free as an Amazon Free App of the day) since they each have their strengths and weaknesses.

2. Is there an app or a website I can download apps for free like the Installus with Apple products? If yes, where do I download it and how do I install it?
There are plenty of free apps in the Android Market, Amazon Appstore for Android, and the other app stores available under Android. Just follow the advice given earlier and download from trusted markets. Pirated apps are frowned upon and they mostly put you at risk for malware. Not worth it. It is best to support developers, after all, most apps are fairly cheap.

3. Is a tablet like a PC/Laptop which requires anti-virus/adware protection? If yes, which do you recommend and how do I install it?
Again, there are several options in the Android Market. I use Lookout because it also offers remote wipe, backups, etc. Some would argue that these are not needed but I rather have something as a "just in case" thing. LOL Call it PC virus paranoia! LOL

4. Is there an emulator for Gameboy/Playstation X/Playstation 2 for the tablet? If yes, where do I download it and how do I install it?
There are a number of emulators in the different markets. What you will not find in the market are roms for these emulators. Ton find the emulator that you want, just run a search within the Android Market for the game console you want to emulate.

I hope this helps! Enjoy!

Thank you so much for your help guys!

Also is there a print screen feature just like the with the Apple iPhones? (I am an iPhone user, pressing the home + lock button takes the screenshot etc etc.)

There indeed is. In fact, there are two ways of doing it. If you have the keyboard dock, there is a screenshot button you press and, voila!

If you do not have the dock, you need to first activate the feature (go to Settings>ASUS customized settings>check box next to Screenshot - you can even select the image format right below that). Once you've activated the feature, all that you have to do is press and hold the recent apps button (the icon with the two squares) and that will take the screen shot.
