Brand new to Android

Hi Everyone!

I am a NOOb (and Blonde, to boot!) and I need some advice.

I have a brand new htc Rezound and I want to put .jad and .jar files on it. What do I need to do to load these files to the phone? Please be detailed as I don't speak Android or cell phone very well ... ha ha!

Apps are not in Java format for android. They will be in .apk format.

Mostly download from the phones' google play store, or appbrain or other.

There are even apps that will let you back up your newly installed apps to SD card.

If it's old java games, you can usually find an equivalent in the Play Store. You can sign into your Google account and install app directly from the web based store. The store is also on your phone, just look for the Play icon

in the app drawer.

Depends on how they are sent to your phone.
If it's GMail, there should be an option in the email to View or Save.
If it's an SMS either try to longpress on the image and a menu should pop up to save, share, etc. or press the menu button on your phone to see if the save option is there.
If it's normal email it's dependent on the app. Try the same options as SMS.

Well, if you can find them on your phone, long-press one of them and see what options it gives. For instance, it’ll probably give you the option to email it someone, like yourself. Then, if you are using that email on both your phone and your computer, it’ll show up in both inboxes.
