I'm gonna make this simple and to the point. I'm in the dreaded "refurb loop" cycle right now. I have a RAZR Maxx (I already posted this in that thread). I like my phone and am content with it. I got it as an upgrade in June of 2012 right before the deadline to grandfather unlimited data. The only issue is the stupid headphone jack. I've gotten it replaced with a refurbished phone 3 times because of this and it's doing it again. I don't mind this for the most part because I've gotten so good at setting the replacement up so quickly and it's free on warranty. I've been just going to my favorite Verizon corporate store and they let me sign a screen, and send me one in a business day or two, I send the bad one back, the whole thing. The problem is that the warranty may no cover it after 2 more months. My question is, what can I do to get something else? I've heard of people complaining enough to customer service that they simply let the person pick their replacement. What should I say that may convince them to give me something else? I'm not fishing for a free upgrade, but I won't accept anything with crappy battery life or no SD support. Maybe RAZR M, Maxx HD, or even S3 (I heard on here that someone did just that). Any ideas before I call them? And before you ask, I clean my phone regularly, including vacuuming out anything and wiping it down. There is nothing like dust or lint in there, and it happens with anything I plug in, though m earbuds make it most noticeable.
