Help Brick

Hi guys, a little help / advice if possible please?

I appear to have bricked my Desire. I can get to the recovery menu, have wiped cache and Dalvik cache but this hasn't helped. All I'm getting is the white HTC screen.

Should I now do a factory reset?

Scratch that, I couldn't wait so I did a system restore. It seems to be working now, so thanks anyway
