Hello. I'm new to this forum and pretty much just joined so that I can try to fix this one issue.
I tried updating my phone a while ago and I guess it got interrupted somehow because I ended up with a boot loop.
I tried following instructions online to fix this and so I've already tried clearing the cache, formatting etc but I still get a screen that says
When I try to connect my phone, Kies just says "Connecting..." but never connects. I tried troubleshooting connection errors and it didn't help. I also tried doing this in download mode and nothing changed.
I tried using Odin a couple of weeks ago but it kept failing. This is probably due to the fact that I had pretty much no idea what I was doing. I wanted to try this again to post what errors I got here but I forgot what I did.
I don't care if I have to root my phone or something but I don't know anything about this kind of stuff and so I'd need very clear instructions.
Here are some details:
Model: SGH-I317m
Carrier: unlocked
Any help would be greatly appreciated (especially if it results in my having a usable phone lol)
