Root BRICKED...HTC EVO4g

HELP ME PLEASE...

I rooted my EVO 4g. All was great, until I decided to do a factory reset and BAM, everything is wiped and the only thing that happens is the home screen comes on to the phone.

Now I can't do a recovery because I do not have the PC..IMG files on my SD card that he phone was looking for.

And when I try to down connect my phone to the PC, it just stays charging mode on the phone and I can't switch it.

I dont know what else to do.... Please Help.

Have you tried to just boot into recovery thru the bootloader? I realize the first thing that bootloader does is search for the PC36IMG file, but after it searches and doesn't find it, can you navigate to the recovery option and select it?
(once recovery is installed previously, you should still have it even though you have no PC36IMG file on the sd card.)

How did you do the factory reset? In the OS or in recovery?
