Bricked HTC Hero? HELP!

So I was toying around with my Hero the other day and I decided to root it. I used OneClick. Then I decided to try to flash Cyanogen 7 and things went horribly bad. When I tried to boot it all I got was the white HTC screen. Being impatient, I wiped everything possible and even formatted my SD card. I think I may have even wiped some vital files With that being said I did a bit of research I think the answer may be to restore the original ROM (RUU) the device? In my stupidity I didn't create a back up so I think this is the only option. My question is where can I find that file and how would I go about flashing it to my device. Any advice is appreciated!

Did you install a recovery with it? If you did, can still boot into the recovery? If you can, then you can just re-flash the ROM. If you can't boot into a recovery, you may still be able to solve it via ADB. Your saving grace though, is that the Hero is damn near impossible to brick. Most likely there is a way to fix it. I would check over on XDA or look through a lot of the old posts here on this forum. Oh, and next time, remember your Nandroid!

You can find both HTC Sync and the Android 2.1 RUU here: HTC Hero .

Just install HTC Sync first. After that, run the Android 2.1 RUU executable and follow the instructions.

I bricked it good. Some @$$ put up the Sprint ROM on a G2 site and I was testing ROMs and now my brick won't turn on, charge or respond to anything. Battery out, battery in. SIM out, SIM in. SD out, SD in. No reset, can't get into recovery. Just a response-less blank screen. Nobody knows how to JTag it. It's been many days... please help!
