I got a an LG Esteem, rooted it with oneclickroot/run.bat without issues, then tried to install recovery intended for LG optimus M ( thinking they're all the same and should work) in an attempt for eventually update the stock gingerbread rom and improve kernels...and sadly bricked my brand new esteem. It is stuck on the LG boot screen and does not go past it. I tried the hard reset (pressing volume up and down with power button) and get to the recovery screening asking to do a factory reset and confirm. When I press confirm, it goes right back to LG boot screen and remains there again.
I went to LG support site to restore s/w version, program recognizes phone, but during analyzing cell phone, it states the software version is not supported for the phone. I thought maybe try emergency s/w restore by LGNPST method, but there is no MS910.DLL file and no restore MS910ZVB.bin file to download. I have no other ideas.
Can anyone help unbrick my LG Esteem? Many thanks ahead of time!
