Root Bricked my Galaxy S5 Sport

A few weeks ago I decided to upgrade the firmware on my rooted phone running Android v 4.2 to v 5.0

This unrooted my phone, much to my chagrin, so I decided to re-root it. Unfortunately, the first 2 attempts and the root simply didn't "take," and after my third attempt my phone is now stuck in a recovery bootloop; the top of the screen reads
"RECOVERY BOOTING.....
RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Set Warranty Bit : recovery"

I made a back up using Titanium Backup prior to upgrading the firmware, but unfortunately I can't boot my phone at all: no recovery boot, no download boot, nothing.

Is there anything I can do?

Uh oh. Wrong firmware is bad. You'll have to find the stock firmware for your device and flash it using ODIN... IF you can get to download mode. Otherwise, it may mean a costly trip for it back to the factory for a re-flash.

Yeah, no download mode for me. I've heard a JTAG service might be cheaper than sending it back to the factory. There's also a program called Phoenix Card that lets you create bootable Android SD cards, but I think that might only be for tablets.

Well, turns out the phone wasn't hard bricked after all. I couldn't get it into download mode until I decided to try removing the battery, holding the buttons down, and then reinserting the battery. Only this way would it boot into download mode, otherwise it stayed stuck in the bootloop.
