bricked my lg marquee already

I am not exactly sure how i did it, but I bricked it. It is at the flashing LG logo and has been flashing for about 3 hours now. I have tried other various methods that people has said worked for their optimus black, and other phones, but with no success. can anyone save my ass here?

Try holding the volume down and the power button until the soft keys start to flash...then release and it should take you to recovery...
