Root Bricked. need firmware update file.

im trying to find the firmware update for this phone. because i accidentally bricked it by messing with the framework. i tried to factory reset my phone but that didnt help. so what im trying to do is put the firmware update file on my sdcard because when i try to update the firmware it looks for it in my sdcard but the file isnt there.

please help.

if there are any other methods on unbricking my phone by reseting the framework.apk to the original file please do tell.

unfortunately im using the stock rom and my phones rooted :/
 
Wow. Well you jumped the gun there.

Did you at least rom dump first? You should be able to find the framework in there.

There is no firmware update as far as I know, or stock recovery.

Gah, forgot to reply to this. I tried searched, I can't find anything. I think you may need to go back to Metro and see if you can get another one...hopefully without paying.

Annoying that you can't find ANY sort of downloads on Huawei's site...
 
First of all, there is a firmware update, but as a new member I cannot link it. Google search huawei m835 firmware download and you should find a link. You can get any huawei stock firmware on their site.
Second. The only way to recover your backed up framework now is using ADB for SDK Tools. There are many tutorials here, but unless you are moderate at hacking, the firmware update is recommended.

If you are unable to find it in the search, try words like "document" or "manual". The firmware dl link is in the same section on the site. I've bricked my phone numerous times doing what you did, and this saved me. I have found a 2 minute way to replace the framework by the way. ;) but that is another topic..

Once you download the updata from Huawei, transfer it to your card. When you boot the phone, hold vol + , red (end call), and power. It will install itself which only takes 2 minutes.
 
I upgraded my phone with this update, downloaded directly from Huawei's web site. Is it known exactly what this particular upgrade (666) fixes in the way of any bugs? The PDF didn't go into that.

I noticed after the upgrade, the phone had both a Rhapsody app and widget though...
