Dear Forum,
I bricked my VM Elite and found one on sale at Radio Shack,
the old phone the only working part was the CWM.
I found a 8 gig mini sd on sale and formatted it with 32 fat on my PC.
Now I have a old dell lap top with a Copy of Vector Liniux as the OS.
I pulled down a copy of the Harmonia 2.03 for the elite zip on the lap top
plugged the Phone into a usb connection and pushed the rom on to the formatted
sd drive .
Booted into CWM clear cleared memory ,follow cwm instructions, and re-booted phone.
Now I don,t have this phones number active at VM, so I didn't want to ping them
for a new account. So the phone is basically a wifi internet device.
I have verizon fios in my home and my work had several wifi transmitters.
My google account allowed me to download all my apps onto the phone that I had
on my new phone.
It was fun to see how much works on this phone to PDA free service. The bluetooth
to my car sterio works.. woohoo
Not sure of the legal ramifications but my wifi is paid for my google account, allows as many downloads and re-downloads to my phone as I want. So in my mind its legal.
Now to find a free phone calls to wifi app hehe .

Don't try this on your phone and linux takes a while to learn all the features.
But the phone was sitting in a drawer on my desk.
psps next project install ubuntu on sd as a web surfing tool for wifi as learning exeperience?
