odin shows phone is connected and i hit start all it show is setup connection and that it it doen't do anything it just sits there like that.

ok so i tried again and i got it to go but it hangs at system download and its been 7 mins now, any ideas? im just trying to get it back to stock now

If you mail it to me I'll "attempt" to fix it. I can not guarantee you didn't brick it. PM me if you want and I'll give you my addie.

Edit: I can cover shipping back to you (I work for a shipping company) and won't charge. ;)

ok that sounds good, all u need it the phone? its charged, the other thing i was wondering is could it be a bad usb cord? i got go the cord from my dad it went to another phone it a cheap looking one cuz when i plugged the phone to the computer with it to transfer stuff to the memory card it went nuts when i clicked on the memory card i havent even gotten to use the phone yet :( cuz im waiting for unlock code to use it with att, but ill pm you thanx

No worries. All I need is the phone & the sd card if you want anything special done. I have cords & chargers so no worries about anything else. PM sent.

Aye, I definitely hope you're able to figure out a way to properly flash corolla's, j0hnh0lmes. Thanks for the offer, but I'm still fiddling with mine off and on as a hobby - it's not my main phone or anything. Do post back on your progress, though! :D

Well it wasn't a usual flash job if that's what your asking. It took me about 30 min to get it working again.

If you want me to fix yours just shoot me a PM.

FriedBunny, your phone has also been fixed. You can usually get a new screen (digitizer) on ebay for around $20.

That's amazing, frankly - thanks! Indeed, I've been eying a new digitizer for a while and now you've given me a reason to actually invest in one.

So how do we avoid this happening to our phones again in the future? It appears I missed something in the Odin flashing, but I've no idea what...

Well, honestly you & corolla90 did something totally different than the other. I think his was just a cable issue. It could be the same for both, just became a problem @ different times of the flashing. It's hard to say without looking @ the file system which I didn't really have time to look @ due to my brother being a dumb ass (long story, he lives several states away).

Tracking # has been Pm'd.

Anyone else need help with their phone while I'm on a roll?

Hey maybe that was the issue with mine! i was using the Samsung Vibrant USB cable from my brother since i coudlnt find mine. I think that was the problem i guess ill find out tommorow! wish me luck!
