Help bricked phone?

i was upgrading the rom on my phone and was doing a back up using rom manager and now my phone wont do anything, what do i do now? is there anything i can do to get it working again?
 
Can you get into Downloading Mode? Try holding the Down Volume k` ey, Home key & Power button together - if it works you'll get a yellow "Downloading" on the screen.
 
yea, ive tried that and i get nothing, it registers with odin that theres a phone there but when i used that it didnt appear to be doing anything. samsung kies also wont recognise the device .
 
tried it again like you said but it still wont do anything, ive found several websites with the similar advice but so far everything ive tried has failed.
 
Have you tried re-inserting your battery after holding the buttons down? I'm pretty sure that you're going through exactly the same as I did the first time I flashed mine with Odin, so there IS hope!
 
yea tried that too, using Odin i can recognize the device and set everything up to flash the phone, the timer starts and carries on going but nothing actually happens
 
Sounds really familiar. If I could get my hands on it, maybe I could sort it. You're not near Hertfordshire by any chance are you?
 
If only I could remember! I have a vivid memory of thinking I'd buggered up my brand new phone though. Are you anywhere near Haringey?
 
ah well, i'll keep tryin to figure it out, maybe send it back to samsung and play dumb lol. if all fails then i'll have to buy a new phone but i'd rather not do that cos this ones only 3 months old lol.
