Help bricked phone

my sg3 just got bricked when trying to flash pa android rom now my phone just sits there not doing nothing:mad: black screen .do i junk it now
 
As mike says. Can you do the (power, volume up, power) combo to get into recovery?
Can i ask out of interest what guide you followed? dont you think Mike theres a huge amount of people lately following badly made guides (especially on youtube)?
Id also stay away from apps like Goo or Rom Manager until you understand what they actually do

Op if you can get into download mode or custom recovery (CWM or TWRP) Then your phone is fine :beer:
 
i cant git into anything the phone is completley dead and yes i made a huge mistake listening to that clown on youtube
 
Hmmm, well, the thing to be careful about flashing roms is that you flash the correct rom made for your device and carrier.
Was the rom you flashed made specifically for your device model and carrier?

I know you said you cannot get into anything, but does that include download mode? (home, volume down, power) ?

Does the phone respond when plugged in to charge? (charging light?)

Pull the battery for a few minutes, then try recovery, or download mode. :)

Edit: what carrier are you on?
 
If youre sure the battery has a charge in it and you cant get into download mode as Mike says then you have yourself the very rare thing that is a hard bricked s3.
It is VERY rare though and a USB Jig could help force it into download mode to flash it back to stock.

Im having the same problem!
Except i didn't try anything to change the phone.

I was sitting on my bed, put my phone down, couple minutes later i checked it and nothing. The screen was black. I tried charging it, nothing. The battery indicator light wont even come on. I've tried the home, volume up and power thing, doesn't work (doesn't even vibrate).

ANY IDEAS?

Also, if i do try to turn it on, it will get hot like it is on but nothing shows up.

Can anybody give me advice or am i completely screwed.
 
So is the phone still under warranty? (2yrs in europe, 1yr everywhere else i think)
If it wont go into download mode (power, home, volume DOWN) then it is hard bricked and if its under warranty youll get a new one :thumbup:
 
yeswhen i plug in into my computer a red light comes on and it makes a sound like when its connected and i am on rogers
