Bricked tablet???

I believe I have a bricked tablet but not quite sure...NEED HELP! My tablet seems to be stuck in the boot screen. Tried to do a hard reset but I get the following message:
E: Can't open /tmp/recovery.log

Is there anyway I can fix this? I have been looking for the rom/firmware to see if I can just re-install but no luck. Here is my system info:

Visual Land Connect 2.3 Tablet
OS: Android 2.3
7" touch screen
ARM Cortex A8 1.2 GHz Processor

If there is any other information required please ask....
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't appear to be any manufacturer's ROMs available for this tablet.
