Root Bricked?

Here's what happened.
My phone is/was rooted.
No problem for the last 6 months.
LauncherPro kept telling me to go to launcherpro.com and update.
So I finally did. Now my phone is stuck in boot loop.
Its just the samsung screen.
Every now and then it will boot up and get to the actual home screen.
At this time the battery reads almost dead.

If I have it on the charger and it comes back to the home screen it still dies.
Either way, it gets stuck in the loop 90% of the time.

Update: Now the samsung logo appears and the grey bar fills up, but does not go away.

I tried redoing the sw upgrade, but it doesnt do anything, if I do VOL DOWN+CAMERA+END it just goes to downloading no matter what.

Thoughts?

Most likely not bricked, just corrupt. I would say flash back to stock then flash a rooted kernel. That almost always works.

Seems like it is going into correct mode, isn't it?

VOL DOWN+CAMERA+END ==> downloading mode
VOL DOWN+CALL+END ==> recovery mode

Do you mean redoing the LauncherPro sw upgrade, or reflashing the phone?
If reflashing the phone, then VOL DOWN+CAMERA+END is correct if done when the software tells you to do it. Otherwise, it is VOL DOWN+CALL+END to boot into recovery.
If you still have the stock Launcher.apk, go into recovery, browse files, go to /system/app, and delete the LauncherPro.apk. Hopefully you can successfully boot up after that.
If you don't have the stock Launcher.apk, try grabbing it from the file system of whichever software version you have (DJ07, DI06, DE03) over at SDX-Developers Forum - Index and place it on the root of your microsd card using a card reader on your computer (hopefully you have one). Boot into recovery again and copy the Launcher.apk into the /system/app folder, then successfully boot up the phone.

thanks for the answer.
I flashed to stock and it works now.
I had to reinstall the samsung swupgarde on my PC since I had the joykrim file in the binary folder.
Phone works, head hurts, but all is good.

Thanks
