Root Bricked

Nobody will be able to help you until you provide a little information about what state your phone is it.

Bootlooping? Stuck in the black bootloader screen with white text? If it's in the bootloader, what message are you being given? Is the SBF completing successfully when you try to do it?

Also, the link is bullshit. The phone doesn't "brick itself."

P.S. I wish people would stop using the term "brick." The bootloader makes it almost impossible to actually brick your phone. A brick is a phone that's dead and can't be brought back. Nobody has done that to a Droid X except a couple devs who were mucking around with the NVRAM settings. That's not really targeted at you, just a general comment. As long as you can get into the bootloader, you can recover your phone.

Just tried again and it worked fine. I did run out of battery life, but had a spare charged battery.

I don't know what the true issue was, but I just kept trying and it worked...
