Root Bricking and the battery

So 5 or 6 months ago I bricked my prevail and ended up getting a new one. One thing I noticed is that if I put the battery from the bricked one into the one I have now, that battery doesn't charge or provide power to the phone. Does something happen when the phone gets bricked that would cause the battery to no longer work? If it helps, the brick was caused by rom manager (which I have since learned not to use due to its lack of support)

I would say the battery is too discharged to be seen by the phone. If you had a separate charger you could bring it back.

My touch pad is like that. It has dual boot roms . The original web os and cm9. If its completely discharged I can only charge it back up on web os. Cm9 doesn't see it.

Maybe if you went back to stock it would work.

He should be able to leave it in the phone for a little while and it should charge. The phone will give the charging icon on the screen. If it's doing that and it still won't work after 10 or 15 minutes worth of charging, the battery is fried.
