Brief summary of applications installation on my Milestone

Hi all

It's been a week since I bought my first Android phone - Milestone. It's time of me to share a summary what I have installed and the opinion to new Milestone users.

I am installed free apps most likely from Android Markets since I believe it is a reliable and virus-safe source. Here below is my installation ordering:

1. IO Flashlight
( Very useful! Installed at 1st time when I got the phone. It's served as a tool of checking any dead LED pixel. I keep it as a torch for my occassional use in dark. Only non-market application I got )

2. ChompSMS
( Replace bundled Messaging tool which has bug and fails to send multi-line messages.)

3. APNdroid
( Nice Nice app. A must for who is using limited data plan, this app saves me from my milestone accessing internet out of my notices)

4. 3G Watchdog / NetCounter
( Nice Nice app. It's a data traffic counter. I use this to come with my budget over how I use the remaining quota )

5. Taskiller
( Essential app to kill unnecessary backgrounds jobs )

6. LIME
( My Milestone is in English version. LIME serves as a nice Chinese Input Method Editor for all Chinese to use Changjie IME)

7. Astro
( Excellent and comprehensive application manager for install/backup/SD card usage etc.)

8.Ultimate StopWatch

9. ConvertPad (Unit converter)

10. NoteEverything
( I got surprised of notepad-like app built in Milestone. No problem when I found this app)

11. BlueRSS
( RSS app to read local news/magazines )

Facebook/Wapedia/World time/Places Directory Google Sky Map/Goggles are also wonderful for me.

I haven't checked out NoteEverything here, but I'd throw in GDocs as a notepad thing. Syncs with Google Docs. Also, I'd suggest giving Handcent a try instead of Chomp.

I also have Task Killer, it is a great app. However you have to be careful to have some apps excluded. I prefer Ultrachron for the stopwatch/timer. I love the voice and it keeps a history of everything that I time.
