Root Brightness Slider? (KitKat Explosion)

I'm running KKE and I love it, but, something I've always disliked about this phone and any other Touchwiz phone is the persistent brightness slider in the notification tray. So, my question is: Is there a way to remove it? Like I said I'm on KKE if that is important. Any method that'll work is fine. :D

I honestly can't stand the thing either

I've tried to totally remove it from our SystemUI once but my Rush just wouldn't boot back up so I gave up and made it transparent along with just about everything else I could think of :D

It should be fairly easy to remove. Just decompile systemUI.apk and then open SystemUI.apk/res/layout/status_bar_expanded.xml and remove the lines referencing the volume slider. One done, recompile and push to phone.

If that sounded like a foreign language to you, then i should be able to do it tomorrow as long as i can get a copy of:

-SystemUI.apk
-Framework-res.apk
-Tw_framework-res.apk

(not sure if that's the exact name...)

That's just what I did only the xml I edited started with tw_
I might have deleted too much - Wouldn't be the first time
