Bringing a Note 2 back to the USA

Sorry to ask this question as it may not even be a legitimate concern but here goes just in case.

I have generally been working overseas in recent years and expected to be working in Thailand when I had something of an impulse buy and picked up a Note 2 in Bangkok. This was about 4 months ago and the phone has worked fine in Thailand as well as in Vietnam.

Due to unforeseen circumstances it looks like I'll be returning to the US in about 6 months. My question is about using a Samsung Note 2 in the States as far as wi-fi specs etc...

I just assume I'm screwed as far as customer service is concerned as It was bought in Thailand and probably not serviceable w/o shipping back there?

The other option I'd consider is selling the phone to someone in Asia/Vietnam before leaving. For what it's worth it's an unlocked phone.

Thanks for any thoughts on this "conundrum"!

Well it depends on how much you could sell it over there. There is a market for selling unlocked international Note II here. People like unlocked phones. But I don't know whether you will get more here or over there.

I would say if you plan to travel away from US often, you might want to keep the phone since it is unlocked.

Thanks Icneed. It doesn't sound like there are any technical issues bringing it back - it's just an unlocked international phone suppose.

I may just start trying to sell it here and then if I don't get a decent enough offer try selling it back in the States. It's a great phone but the truth is, it's more phone than I really need after using it......

Again, thanks for responding.
