Help Bringing Captivate to China

Hi all, I going to be moving to China for 8 months, and I want to bring my rooted Galaxy S Captivate with me. Will I be able to use it in China? I know that they have GSM there, could I just sign up for a plan and get a new SIM card? Thanks

That's all you need to do. In fact you don't even need to sign up for a plan, just buy a pre-paid SIM on China Mobile or China Unicom, and you can buy minutes any time you like with no commitment.
