Broadlink rm pro

Newbie here, I just got a Broadlink "rm pro" and was wondering if anyone has been able to get it to work with 'google' voice commands.
I see various posts regarding the subject, but being a newbie I guess I'm looking for more direction, like do I need tasker, and some other app in place ?

If there's no microphone on it then the only way for that to work is thru your smartphone... It should somehow have a sync setting. Is there a smartphone app for this unit you need to install first?
