Help Broke My Phone

So I went to the gym today and since I was expecting a call from someone, I kept my phone (T-Mobile Galaxy S2) in my pocket. Unfortunately, my phone fell out of my pocket and I accidentally put a 60 pound dumbbell on top of it. The glass is completely fine, but the lcd behind it has quite a large crack. The phone still works, but the screen does not turn on at all. At first it showed a few blue pixels in random places, but it no longer does that.

So I'm assuming I need to get a new lcd for my phone. I bought my phone from T-Mobile in December and did not get any extra warranty. I'm assuming it's going to cost me to have it replaced, does anyone know around how much? $100? $150?

And where should I take it? Should I take it to a local T-Mobile store and ask them if they can get it fixed? Or just go on Samsung's website and do a warranty request thing from there?

And I had my phone rooted and had Cyanogenmod 7 installed on it, would that be a problem? And if it is, is it possible for me to put it back to stock without having any access to the phone's screen? The buttons still work so maybe someone just needs to tell me what exact button combinations to press?

And I have some texts on my phone that I'd like to save, is there any way to access them and back them up on to my sd card without use of the screen?

I apologize for all these questions. I know I could probably find answers to some of these with some research, but my phone was my main source of internet. My only source of internet now is a friend's computer, so I don't have much time to be researching things online.

I'd greatly appreciate any help.

You can buy the parts and do it yourself if you're the handy type. I found this. It does seem like the digitizer and LCD are sold together and it's $179 for the assembly. If you're going to pay someone else to do it, expect to pay $200 and up for the repair.

So I managed to take my phone apart up to the point where this person did: [REF] T-Mobile Galaxy S2 T989 Teardown - xda-developers , but I'm not sure where to go from there. There's a video (How to open T mobile Galaxy S2 screen disassembly - YouTube) of someone using a heat gun and then prying the screen off, is that what I need to do? The outer glass on my phone is not scratched at all, so would that be necessary? I'm a bit worried since he seems to scratch his glass quite a bit when he tries to take it off.

This seems to be the entire front, so I won't have to do any prying off of the screen, which it seems I would have to do if I got the other part. It's also around the same price, which I find a bit unusual since it has a few more components. Should I buy it?

I would only need to move the front camera, ear speaker thingy, battery, and a little orange circuit board thing between the battery and the speaker (Apologies for my lack of knowledge about the names of these things.). Mine looks exactly like the one in the link I posted previously: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1454537. I managed to take the front camera off, but I'm not sure how to remove the other things. Does anybody know how easy it would be to take them off? I don't see any screws so do I just pry them?

Edit: Ok, I got everything off. The battery had a bit of glue on the back so I had to pry it off with a flathead screwdriver. So now it looks exactly like the ebay link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-T-m...ultDomain_0&hash=item3f14e654ae#ht_3615wt_991. What do you guys think? Is this legit? Will it be the same quality as what I had? They don't mention AMOLED anywhere, does that mean it's different from what I have?

Edit: I emailed them and they said it's the original AMOLED lcd display for the phone. So should i go ahead and buy it? Seems like buying it without the bezel would be a lot more work and would cost almost exactly the same.

I'm sure there are many legitimate sources on Ebay and most have good experiences. Personally, i'd probably look for a different source, but that's my distrust of some sellers on Ebay and CL.

In any case most of the component sellers I've found only sell the whole assembly, so i assume it comes from Samsung that way, or it's too difficult to reassemble them once taken apart.
