Broken backlight?

Last night, i was playing a game on my phone and someone bumped me and i dropped my verizon smasung galaxy s3 on the wood floor, and the screen cracked, its not back, i can still be able to use it, but the screen is black, it turns on, and vibrates and the LED blinking light still works and everything but the screens completely black. is there anyway i could fix it? i can't get a new phone for a while.

You could buy a screen, open the phone, ruin a few things and end up paying as much to fix what you broke as a new phone would cost.

Or you could bring the phone to a repair shop and have it fixed for less money.
