Broken S4

Hey Guys,
I have a samsung galaxy S4, and every time i go to an app, it wont open. The phone freezes for a minute or two, and then it shuts down completely. Any suggestions?

First thing I would try is a cache wipe in recovery. If still acting up, try to backup everything you don't want to lose and do a factory reset.
Last would be to reflash the stock firmware.
