Post-up a thread in the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket - Android Forums area and see if the folks there have experience replacing the screen (surely some enterprising member there has done that).

might as well buy another phone for that price. Weird how you paid for insurance, but they want you to pay even more? doesnt sound right
